Website chat: install and configure it step by step

Turn on the widget, put the code on your site, match it to your brand, set the proactive message and hours, and reply live from Chat.

Website chat lands in the same inbox as email: the visitor writes, the team replies live from Chat, and the transcript stays in the account.

Enable and install

  1. Go to Chat → Widget setup and pick the domain you want the chat on.
  2. Switch Chat on.
  3. Press Copy code and paste it into your site, before </body> (in the WordPress theme, in Shopify, any CMS or plain HTML).
  4. Reload the site: the chat bubble appears in the chosen corner.

Match it to your site

  • Colour, icon and position (left/right) change from the same page.
  • The texts (greeting, what is asked at the start, the message when nobody is online) are editable, in Romanian and English.
  • Chat shows "online" when a teammate with chat access is active in the app and has not set themselves as away.

The proactive message

A message that opens by itself after a few seconds visibly increases the number of conversations. You set the text, the delay and, optionally, per-page rules: on the pricing page "Need help choosing a plan?", on the cart "Any question before ordering?". The visitor can close it and will not see it again that session.

During the conversation

  • You see which page the visitor is on and where they came from, right in the conversation.
  • Transfer the conversation to a teammate; they accept it or it expires after 3 minutes.
  • At the end the visitor can rate the conversation (👍/👎); the score shows in Reports.
  • Inactive conversations close by themselves after 30 minutes.

The contact form

From the same domain settings you get an embeddable contact form for when nobody is online: messages arrive as emails in the inbox, with the same history.
